The students of the 3rd grade noted down the snacks they ate during the week at school. Then they made a bar graph in class with the type of food they preferred and, after a conversation on healthy nutrition, they realized what kind of snack they should bring to school.

A poem about emotions
A great activity presented to us in St. Nickolas Claccagh National School in Galway.
In the context of mental health, fifth grade students wrote their own poems, poems about an emotion they are feeling. The instructions were simple:
What colour is the emotion?
What does it taste like?
What does it smell like?
What does it look like?
What does it sound like?
What does it feel like?
It was a great activity during which the children created wonderful poems, decorated them with drawings and expressed their feelings in the most beautiful way.
The Erasmus+ HAPPENS posters displayed on every notice board in Haidari
Our Erasmus+ HAPPENS posters have been posted in every corner of our town so as to get the message of our project through to as many people as possible. Parents, teachers and students as well as the rest of the people have the chance to see our posters in Attikon University Hospital, in the Town Hall, in nursery schools, in the Municipal swimming pool, in the Sports Centre of Haidari as well as in many schools in our area.
Emotions…
1st Grade students learn about emotions in 11th Primary School of Haidari
Students in 1st Grade worked on how to recognize emotions through facial expressions in Ms Nikitaki’s English Class. Masks, worksheets and videos were used in order to familiarize them with different emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger or fear . Students finally dramatized each emotion adding the body movements that express it.
Healthy eating habits
1st Grade students learn about healthy eating
Our 1st Grade students have been working on healthy eating habits with Ms Nikitaki, the English teacher. They learnt how to separate healthy food from junk food, they learnt about the Pyramid of the Mediterranean diet and created one themselves and they answered the five important questions of healthy eating habits ; what, how, where, how often, how much we are supposed to eat.
