roisin joyce

Dr. Róisín Joyce is a renounced Clinical Psychologist who practices at the Evidenced Based Therapy Centre in Galway City.

We were very fortunate to have Róisín present this workshop for our teachers and our visiting teachers on the topic of “Managing Emotions the Compassionate Way.” The feedback after the talk was overwhelmingly positive. Her frank and down to earth manner and practical real-life examples hit home with all those who attended. Everyone walked away with plenty of ways to implement the new tools they’d learned for managing their emotions in sometimes difficult day-to-day situations.  In our busy lives as teachers, each one of us have to find a of balance of teaching and home life and the main key is, as we learned, to SLOW DOWN…a lesson we all need to learn!

Here is the slideshow of her presentation and you can contact her on admin@ebtc.ie

The group visited Brigit’s Garden on Wednesday. The morning session on the Irish legends of St. Brigit, for whom the Garden was named were led by the founder Jenny Beale. We toured the garden and learned about the four Celtic Seasons which are represented in the four gardens we visited.
